C-17 Beoing Last Departure from Long Beach Airport
Watch as the very last Beoing C-17 #275 (279 total) departs from Long Beach Airport today after 24 years of Boeing C-17 Globemaster III production in Long Beach, California.
Two years ago, Boeing announced that it did not have enough orders to keep the 25-acre plant open. It produced more than 250 planes and provided more than 2,000 jobs. The facility is expected to close by the end of the year, to end an era.
