Drive-By Shooting Leaves 2 Wounded In California Heights Neighborhood

On Saturday, 4/8/17 at approx. 2:15 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of E. Wardlow Road regarding a shots call. Long Beach Police Officers located two male adults who had been struck in the lower body by gunfire.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle had driven up to the victims and someone within the vehicle had fired shots at them.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
