all the entertainment in between, here’s what to do everyday this week in Long Beach.

Monday-Wednesday
Bring a chair a blanket a beverage and dinner for a family friendly picnic as Signal Hill Petroleum
in cooperation with Partners of Parks presents a screening of “Beauty and The Beast” starting at
dusk Monday, August 21, at Scherer Park (4600 Long Beach). The movie is free and so is the
popcorn. Movies are subject to change and dates run through August.

Tuesday
Come out for the last installment of Alfredo’s Beach Clubs “Moonlight Movies on the Beach” for
a screening of “The Sandlot” at Granada Beach (5101 E Ocean Blvd). The film begins at Approx.
8 p.m. Popcorn, drinks and dinner are available for purchase.

Wednesday-Thursday
The third and final Taste of Downtown event of the 2017 series will take place on the
waterfront at Rainbow Harbor in Downtown Long Beach. Dozens of Long Beach’s finest
restaurants will come together to offer sample sized portions of their best dishes. Enjoy live
entertainment, refreshing beverages and one of Long Beach’s many amazing views. Admission
is free and tastings are $1 per ticket. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more

Friday
Think Big, Shop Small and the support The Urban Hive Market as they host their 4 th Friday at the
Pike monthly event from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (95 S. Pine Ave). UHM has a mission to
support the small businesses and the community by bringing together over 60 vendors, food
trucks, local art and music. This family and pet-friendly event is free to the public. For more

Friday-Sunday
The Children’s Theatre of Long Beach presents a production of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth
Night” set in the world of Steampunk. The play has been edited to 60 minutes by Phil Shwadron
with original music from Steven Schwadron. The play runs for three nights in Bixby Park (130

Cherry Ave at the Bandshell) starting at 7:00 p.m. Bring a blanket some snacks and a friend to
enjoy the show. Admission is free.

Sunday
The popular free concert series at Rancho Los Cerritos (4600 Virginia Road) will close with a
special performance by Pearl Charles. The smoky-voiced sweetheart’s concert will run from
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The site opens at 4:30 and guest are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and
blankets to have a pre-concert picnic. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. To RSVP
