Drive down Retro-Row and soon enough you will come across a small little corner Café where the vibes are just right. Choose from a menu with a wide variety of options that are equally satisfying. Their deeply rooted origins from Oaxaca, Mexico will come out in their spices. Although recently opening its door to Long Beach residents, The Grain Café is quickly becoming a local favorite.

If you’re looking for a tight knit little spot that will make you feel right at home, then steamed is the perfect place to sip your Long Beach-brewed kombucha. You might have guessed it, but steamed Steams its food. Try a quesadilla, loaded salad or burrito with locally sourced ingredients served without the use of a grill or fryer.

Ahimsa Vegan Café

There’s something about Ahimsa that makes you feel like this is the right place to brunch. Lunch. And dinner. To start, their aesthetic (chalk wall, Piano, tables) makes the place a standout. Try some of their fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. And the fiesta burrito (my favorite) is a must-try. The staff is friendly and makes this a place for all to try.

This place is much more than just a vegan fast-food restaurant. Their quality and taste can compete with any other restaurant. They create 100% vegan alternatives of your fast food favorites. I Love Vegan is an authentic vegan Thai Food restaurant. And like Thai Food, you are getting an abundance of taste and spice to go along with your healthy meal. Your taste buds will thank you later. Keep a look out for their hours as they close daily from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Otherwise, the food here speaks for itself. Healthy and delicious.

In the short time Seabird has been open it won over many local’s hearts. You might not be a foodie or a vegetarian for that matter, but Seabird will make you appreciate good food. The place has a minimalistic design which makes the ambiance feel spacious and comforting. Starting out as a food truck vegan cuisine, Seabird creates many unique flavors and makes their sauces and condiments from scratch. Give them a try and treat yourself to something new.
