Fire Inside Walmart Causes Evacuation of Shoppers A fire breaks out inside Walmart prompting an evacuation of shoppers and employees.
The Long Beach Fire Department with LA County Fire responded to the fire inside Walmart at Carson and Paramount in Lakewood just after 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the small fire that was set after someone ignited a clothing display, said a public information officer for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Shoppers were quickly moved to the stores parking lot. One person treated for smoke inhalation, no other injuries reported.
No word from Walmart as to when they will be open again.
