Narcotics Investigation Leads to Major Drug and Cash Seizure
Yesterday, June 25th, 2015, the Long Beach Police Department Drug Investigations Section served a search warrant on a residence resulting in the seizure of several pounds of illegal narcotics and cash believed to be related to a large scale drug trafficking ring.
Detectives targeting high volume narcotics shipments in the Long Beach area made contact with suspected narcotic traffickers. Detectives then followed leads that led to the 700 block of McDonald Avenue in the City of Wilmington where they served a search warrant resulting in the seizure of the following:
· 124 Pounds of Cocaine
· 3 Pounds of Methamphetamine
· Approximately $25,000 in U.S. Currency
One individual was detained in connection to the narcotics, however we are not releasing their identity at this time pending further investigation.
