Latinos in Action and Councilman Dee Andrews Host 8th Annual Health Fair

Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews invites residents to the Latinos in Actions 8^th Annual Health Fair, on Saturday September 19^th, at MacArthur Park, 1321 East Anaheim Street, Long Beach. The event, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, will provide FREE health screenings and dental care for children.

The Fair will offer FREE screenings for glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, as well as free dental for children. There will also be educational tables on many health issues along with safety and injury prevention. In addition, the fair will have activities for the entire family with music and free food, as well as a moon bounce for the kids. “I always enjoy hosting health events because it offers testing and screening that a lot of people can’t afford”, said Councilman Andrews. “In other words, we are saving lives”, continued Andrews.

The event partners are Children’s Dental Health Clinic, St Mary Medical Center, Molina Healthcare, American Heart Association, L.A. Care Health Plan, New York Life, Miller Children’s Hospital CCEJ, Long Beach Building Healthy Communities, and many more. The event is free and open to the public.
