Man Fatally Stabbed Sunday Night Near Drake Park

On Sunday, October 25, 2015, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Long Beach Police responded to the 1000 block of Maine Avenue regarding a possible stabbing, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

When officers arrived, they discovered the victim who had been stabbed in the torso, lying on the sidewalk. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jesus Pimentel of Long Beach.

The motive for the incident does not appear to be gang-related and the investigation remains ongoing. No suspect information is available at this time.
