Police Chase Ends In Crash Near Orange And Anaheim

Long Beach police officers initiated a vehicle pursuit around 5:05pm at Martin Luther King Blvd and 20th Street of a vehicle wanted for an armed car jacking out of Los Angeles.

The pursuit ended in the area of the1400 block of Orange Avenue after the suspect vehicle was involved in a collision.

One of the suspects fled from the vehicle on foot with a gun.  That suspect was safely taken into custody by officers shortly there after and the gun was recovered.

A second suspect who stayed inside the vehicle was also taken into custody LBPD Sgt. Megan Zabel said.

Nobody suffered any major injuries as a result of this incident.

Both suspects are male adults and the investigation remains ongoing.
