Mayor Garcia, Health Department Host Enrollment Drive for President Obama’s “Healthy Communities Challenge”
The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, in collaboration with Mayor Robert Garcia, will open its doors for enrollment in health care coverage this Saturday, January 30, from 8:00am – 1:00pm, at its headquarters, 2525 Grand Ave, Suite 210, in Long Beach.
The event is part of local efforts to enroll as many people as possible in response to President Obama’s “Healthy Communities Challenge,” which is targeting 20 major cities nationwide to increase health coverage. The city with the most new enrollees will receive a visit from the President.
