Long Beach, CA

Today, members of the Long Beach community which included elected officials, staff, homeless non profits, faith based organizations, and community volunteers met at the Multi Service Center and took part in today’s homeless count.  The Long Beach Firefighters provided pancakes for approximately 450 volunteers who attended.

This 8th biennial homeless count is required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and helps to highlight gaps and determine existing and needed services.

The data from this count will show whether Long Beach’s homeless population grew or shrank.
