Port of Long Beach To Accept Community Sponsorship Applications

The Port of Long Beach will soon begin accepting applications for its community sponsorship program.

Community groups may submit their sponsorship requests from Wednesday, March 1, through Friday, March 31.

Applicants are advised to plan ahead for events for which they wish to seek sponsorship funding from the Port. After the application period closes, it will take about 45 days before recommendations will be reviewed by the Board of Harbor Commissioners for approval. For this upcoming round, it is anticipated that funds will be awarded in mid-May.

Applications are judged on how well the sponsorship will help the Port inform, educate and create awareness by the community of the important role the Port of Long Beach plays as an economic engine, environmental steward and community partner.
