THREE ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH MURDER

Long Beach, CA

Long Beach Police announced, today, the latest arrests of those responsible for the 2016 murder of 16-year-old Geron Lacy. On Friday, February 24, 2017, detectives arrested 20-year-old Alexus Nicole Gilmore and 21-year-old Vanity Giavonna Lebeau, both of Los Angeles. Gilmore and Lebeau were booked for murder and are currently being held at Long Beach City Jail with bail set for each at $3,000,000. Details regarding earlier arrests are provided below. On June 23, 2016, Mariah Rose Rice, 21 years old and a resident of Long Beach, was booked as an accessory. Last week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Rice with murder.

Background Information
On May 3, 2016, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 3300 block of E. 65th Street. Arriving officers found Victim Lacy with an apparent gunshot injury to the upper torso. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and determined the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives also responded and, through the course of their investigation, determined the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the suspects. The suspects left the location but returned a short time later and shot the victim. Upon further investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspects.

Detectives presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which resulted in the following charges being filed:

Maria Martha Macias, 23 years old and a resident of Long Beach, was arrested on June 17, 2016. Macias was arraigned on June 20, 2016 and charged with murder. She is being held at Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $3,000,000.

Tyrone Devonte Moy, 19 years old and a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested on June 22, 2016. Moy was arraigned on June 24, 2016 and charged with murder and ex-felon with a gun. He is being held at Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $3,035,000.

Marvin Tyree Lard, 19 years old and a resident of Bellflower, was arrested on June 25, 2016. Lard was arraigned on June 27, 2016 and charged with murder. He is being held at Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $3,000,000.
