Long Beach RoboTech Fest 2017

Long Beach, Calif. — March 8, 2017 – On April 2, 2017, parents and children of all ages will descend on the Long Beach City College campus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to make slime, operate robots, attend hands-on workshops, and explore their interests in robotics science, technology, engineering, art, and math, at the fifth annual RoboTech Fest.

“We are super excited to host our annual RoboTech Fest at the Long Beach City College campus this year!  Each year we have expanded the number of STEAM organizations and busineses joining us to provide education and awareness to youth and families in Long Beach,” said Jacqui Viale, Shared Science Executive Director.

RoboTech Fest, a one-day free science expo event, celebrates National Robotics Week.  Shared Science, in collaboration with Long Beach City College, and Port of Long Beach, will showcase STE(A)M-related programs, projects, and products in one place.  Some exhibitors include Aquarium of the Pacific, City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability, USS Iowa, Keiles College Consulting, RCP Tracks, Galileo Innovation Camps, and Digital Revolution.  Workshops will focus on engaging youth in science and technology in a fun and creative manner.  Most workshops require pre-registration through the Shared Science website and are offered at a nominal fee.  Many workshops are free.

About Shared Science

Shared Science serves youth in grades kindegarten through 12th by providing academic enrichment in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects.
