Man Wounded in Early Morning Shooting Near Hospital

A man was shot early this morning near Long Beach Memorial Hospital.

Long Beach police officers were dispatched around 4:56 AM. LBPD dispatch received a call from a male adult indicating he had been shot in the 200 block of E. 29th Street and was walking to a local hospital; he arrived at the hospital before officers arrived in the area.

The victim appeared to have sustained a non-life threatening gunshot injury

After officers searched the area, a suspect is outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
