What to do everyday this week in Long Beach (8/14-8/20)

From eating through the streets of Belmont Shore to the BBQ Fest that takes over Long Beach to all the great tunes in between, here’s what to do everyday this week in Long Beach.

Monday
Bring a chair a blanket a beverage and the family down for a screening of “Moana” from 7:30-9:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, at Heartwell Park (5801 Parkcrest st). The movie is free and so is the popcorn. Movies are subject to change and dates run through August.

Tuesday
If you missed out on the movie yesterday Alfredo’s Beach Clubs “Moonlight Movies on the Beach” will screen “Moana” at Granada Beach (5000 E Ocean Blvd). The film begins at Approx. 8 p.m. Popcorn, drinks and dinner are available for purchase. Movies on the beach run through August 22.

Wednesday–Thursday
Belmont Shore Stroll and Savor is back with over 45 restaurants offering a wide range of foods to try. Shop, savor and listen to live music as you stroll down 2nd street. Bring your dog to enjoy plenty of dog treats as well. Ticket books can be purchased in front of the Chase Bank (5200 E 2nd Street) $10 for a booklet of 12 tickets. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.

Thursday
The second to last installment of Alfredo’s Beach Clubs “Moonlight Movies on the Beach” will feature “The Princess Bride” at Alamitos Beach. The film begins at Approx. 8 p.m. Popcorn, drinks and dinner are available for purchase.

Friday–Sunday
BBQ pitmasters will face off for the grand title in the annual Long Beach BBQ Festival.This three-day long bbq festival host live local music, a dance floor, a sports tent, games and a whole lot of bbq. General admission tickets start at $15 ($5 on Friday) and All-You-Can-Eat packages are available to fully experience the bbq feast. Saturday
Come down to East Village Art District (1st and Linden) and listen to some great local bands perform with minimal plugged-in equipment in this years Buskerfest presented by Summer and Music (SAM). Saturday–Sunday

The 17th annual Tiki Beach Festival hosted by Alfredo’s Beach Club will take place at Granada Beach (500 E Ocean Blvd).
