Tuesday
The Fourth and Olive Restaurant (747 East 4 th street) is kicking off its wine academy with
sommelier Dan Tapia. Stop by after work and join the first of a 6 course wine course to help you
understand the world of wines and develop your wine palate. This first class will cover basic
techniques, which include, tasting techniques, deductive wine methods and how wines are

Wednesday
Food truck Wednesday’s are here at The Current Living (707 E Ocean Blvd) in Downtown Long
Beach. This event is hosted by Curbside bites and takes place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and
features many local favorite eateries such as Rice Balls of Fire, Richeeze, and Crepes Bonaparte.
Admission is free. Event is kid-friendly.

Thursday
Bixby Knolls is hosting their Third Thursday Under the Stars Mixer and this month it is all about
safety. Come join the fun and hear from a special guest from the FBI and other resources such
as the Long Beach Police Department, and local security companies talk about safety tips and
how to spot suspicious activity. The event is free to attend and refreshments are served. The
mixer is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Bixby Knolls (3636 Long Beach Blvd).

Friday

Think Big, Shop Small and the support The Urban Hive Market as they host their Fourth Friday at
the Pike monthly event from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (95 S. Pine Ave). UHM has a mission to
support the small businesses and the community by bringing together over 80 vendors, food
trucks, local art and music. This family and pet-friendly event is free to the public. For more

Saturday

Rigs and Rods Classic Car Show AND Big Rig Show like none other this Saturday the 23rd 9 AM – 3 PM Hosted by United Pacific Industries and brought to you by Roxanne’s Events. Pre-registered pre-1979 car owners will start the day with a complimentary breakfast, including Micheladas and Mimosas!!! Big Rig Owners – you are invited to join us for the breakfast as well! Live Music will take us through the decades, from the great 1950’s Swing Era, to a great Folk Music experience from the ’60’s. Hold on tight for some classic rock from the 1970’s and wind the day down with a great walk down ’80’s music memory lane.  UPI and Roxanne’s proudly support The Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, which will host a Kids Pavilion with many fun activities.

Come celebrate the 13 th annual Japanese Classic Car Show at Harry Bridges Park (1126 Queens
Hwy) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This one-of- a-kind a car remains to be America’s first and
original Japanese Car Show, dedicated to old school Japanese cars and the culture that

Take the day off and grab a cold one at the Craft Beer LB Fest at Rancho Los Cerritos Historic
Site (4600 N Virginia Rd). This craft beer festival is the first one to feature local Long Beach
breweries, food and artist. Bring the family out and enjoy activities for all ages. Children 15 and
under are free and 16 year-old designated drivers are only $10. Tickets are $30 and include ten
tastings and a souvenir taster glass. Event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday
Enjoy Sunday Funday Caribbean-style at the Museum of Latin American Art’s (628 Alamitos
Ave) Caribbean Festival. Explore Caribbean cuisine, music and culture. Bring the family to enjoy
art workshops, face paintings and food and craft vendors that represent the diversity and
