Long Beach Police Ask Public For Help Locating Second Murder Suspect
One of two suspects wanted in connection with the October 10th murders of two male adults at a liquor store at Anaheim Street & Walnut Avenue has been arrested and charged, and the Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the second male suspect and a female person of interest.
After an intense investigation, LBPD Homicide detectives have identified a second suspect in the double murder as:
Name: Savanna Sok
Age: 30
Race: Cambodian
Description: 5’9” tall, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair
Residence: Long Beach
Savanna Sok is currently wanted by the Long Beach Police Department on a no bail warrant for murder and attempt murder. Detectives are also hoping to identify and locate Sok’s girlfriend (pictured below), who is a person of interest. Detectives believe the couple may have fled to the San Bernardino/Redlands area. Sok should be considered possibly armed/dangerous, and no attempt should be made to detain him.

Background:
Through the course of their investigation, Homicide detectives identified Suspect Sok and 30-year-old Morris Om of Long Beach as suspects responsible for the deaths of 21-year-old Danny Bunthung and 22-year-old Dallas Som, both of Long Beach. On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approx.10:12 a.m., Suspect Om was seen in the area of 59th Street & Walnut Avenue in Long Beach. Patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the silver Lexus he was driving, however, he failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit terminated at Atlantic Avenue & Pacific Coast Highway when Om struck another vehicle. Suspect Om was taken into custody without incident, and booked for murder and assault with a firearm on a person, and held on $4,000,000 bail at the Long Beach City Jail.
Later the same day, a search warrant was subsequently served at a residence in the 5900 block of Walnut Avenue, and 27-year-old Tiffany Som (no relation to victim Dallas Som) of Long Beach was taken into custody and booked for accessory to murder and child endangerment. She was held at the Long Beach City Jail on $100,000 bail.
Search warrants were also served that day at two residences in San Bernardino County, and 24-year-old Brenda Sok (sister to Savanna Sok) of Redlands was taken into custody and booked for accessory to murder. She was held at the Long Beach City Jail on $2,000,000 bail.
Yesterday, October 30th, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the following charges were filed:

With the exception of Savanna Sok, the defendants are being held at the Los Angeles County Jail.
ORIGINAL NEWS RELEASE – 10/11/17:
On Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at approx. 9:25 p.m., officers responded to the area of Anaheim Street and Walnut Avenue regarding a “shots fired” call, possibly coming from a nearby liquor store, which resulted in the death of two male adults, and the injuring of two others.
When officers arrived, they located four male adults inside the store, all who had been struck by gunfire. One subject was determined deceased at the scene. Two others were transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics. A second subject was pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined the two deceased individuals were involved in a physical altercation inside the store with an unknown subject(s), which escalated into the shooting. The suspect(s), then fled the location.
What prompted the altercation and whether the incident is gang-related remains under investigation. No suspect information is available at this time, and no weapons were located at the scene. Detectives are searching for any video of the incident.
The victim determined deceased at the scene is only being identified as a 21-year-old resident of Long Beach. The victim pronounced deceased at the hospital is only being identified as a 22-year-old resident of Long Beach. Their identities and official causes of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. The third victim was hospitalized and has since been released. The fourth victim sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. No additional details about the third or fourth victims are being released.
