Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle in North Long Beach

On Monday a elderly male was struck by a vehicle around 5:15 p.m in North Long Beach. Police officers were dispatched to a vehicle and pedestrian collision on the 6000 block of Long Beach Blvd.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Traffic was impacted due to the time of day and proximity to the freeway.

The investigation is on going.
