Wednesday
Film Screening
Come watch a special screening at the Art Theatre (2025 E 4 th street) of “City Rising” a
documentary film analyzing the gentrification in six California communities. Screening time is at
6:30 p.m. followed by a panel discussion immediately after. Admission is free.
Thursday
Paint at Bluff Park
Come down to Bluff Park from 10:30-12:30 p.m. for a paint class experience. The paint course is
two-hours and is lead by an expert artist that will help guide you towards your creativity. No

Queer Mafia Business Mixer
Join Queer Mafia for a networking night at Paradise Bar and Restaurant (1800 E Broadway)
Starting at 8 p.m. The mixer is a night of inspiration where community leaders, business owners
and professionals all come together to give back. Event will feature a networking hour, a guest
speaker and discussion of community fundraisers. Admission is free.
Saturday
Shop Small at Pike Outlets
Take a stroll down the Pike Outlets (95 S Pine Avenue) from 4-7 p.m. for Shop Small Saturday’s.
The Pike will be filled with food, music, art, fashion and handmade items. The event is hosted
by The Urban Hive Market with the goal of supporting the community by promoting small

Beach Cleanup
Take part in the first community beach clean up of the new year at Alamitos Beach from 10-11
a.m. Bring friends and family and join the community in helping make a difference.
Vegan Chili Cook Off
Come on out to 4 th street Vine (2142 E 4 th street) for a delicious tasting of chili presented by the
Long Beach Vegan Chili Cook Off. Tasting tickets will be available at the event for $5 and allow
you to vote on for your favorite chili. The event runs from 2-8 p.m. will the tastings starting at 3
p.m.
