Two Men Wounded in Bixby Knolls Shooting
Two men were shot Monday night in Bixby Knolls area. Long Beach Police officers responded to the 4300 block of Elm Ave. regarding reports of gunshots heard in front of the location just before 12:20am.
When officers arrived they observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed without lights. After a short pursuit, officers discovered a male adult victim of the shooting was in the vehicle and was being transported to local hospital.
A second adult male victim on this incident self-transported himself to the same hospital. Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries according to LBPD Sgt. Brad Johnson.
The motive is unknown. Incident is being investigated as possibly gang related.
