Man Stabbed, Killed After Traffic Altercation Involving Driver and Pedestrian

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 9:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Wardlow Road and Orange Avenue regarding a possible stabbing, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

When officers arrived, they encountered a male subject with stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

The victim is only being identified as a 51-year-old resident of Long Beach, pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
