Woman Beaten to Death with Bird Scooter in Long Beach
Long Beach Police is investigating a homicide near 64th and Obispo. LBPD responded just after 12:30pm today to a call of assault with a deadly weapon.
Male black wearing dark color clothing, ran up to the victim and began to physically assault her. A bystander tried to intervene and the suspect then grabbed a scooter from a nearby location and uses as a weapon to continue assaulting the female victim. Long Beach Fire responded and determined the victim deceased at the scene. The suspect was then seen running westbound
Investigation is still on going. Police are still searching for the suspect. This is a developing story check back for updates.
UPDATE: 5:30pm Person of interested is in custody after fatal beating with Bird scooter.
