Person Of Interest Taken Into Custody in Long Beach for Shooting of LA Sheriff
Person of interest was detained at 10:40am in Long Beach on the block of 2400 Granada by Long Beach Police Department in regards to last night’s shooting of 13 year police veteran.
LA County Board of Supervisors sent an announcement to the public for a $100,000 reward for alleged suspect in mind. Camera footage caught a young, Caucasian male gun down the victim and then immediately fled the scene.
While investigation is ongoing, there will be a public press conference today at the Hall of Justice in Los Angeles at 3pm for further information on the suspect in mind.
Victim, who has yet to be identified, was shot in the head off duty at a Jack in the Box in Alhambra and is currently in critical condition. If you have any information please contact the Sheriff’s Department at (323) 890-5500
