#Breakingnews Rescue crews searching for reported downed helicopter off Catalina Island.

Los Angeles County Fire Department, LA Sheriff’s and U.S. Coast Guard are searching in the Catalina area for reports of a helicopter that went down just after 9:30am this morning.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Avalon Station said that the helicopter has been missing for 11 hours.

Just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, LA County Sheriff’s Air Rescue 5 located a crash site with a debris field on the west end of Catalina Island
