Kaskade’s Sun Soaked Festival Cancelled

The third annual Sun Soaked Festival, hosted by world famous DJ, Kaskade, has been cancelled this year.

This event was to take place July 13-14 at Alamitos Beach, just outside of downtown Long Beach. This would have been the DJ’s, real name Ryan Raddon, first year expanding the festival into two days.

Unfortunately, according to his post on Facebook, improvements in the last two years needed attention, and the attempt of going bigger than before could not happen this year. “But at a little less than three weeks out, it’s become obvious to me that we are falling short, and I’ve been left with an impossible choice,” said Raddon on Facebook.

Original ticket prices started at $150 for the weekend, however, a promotion was emailed that if a festival goer purchased a ticket, they can bring a friend for as little as $50. This left people who had purchased a ticket at the original price furious.

Twitter user @nesquikk25 posted, “Everyone knows Kaskade is my fav, but what kinda bs is this?!? I paid $170 for sun soaked only to find out I can bring someone for $50? I’m pissed!!”

Tickets are to be refunded to all people who purchased them within 21 days of Raddon’s announcement on Tuesday.
