UPDATE: Possible killer of woman at 300 Block of Magnolia Avenue
On July 16, 2019, at approximately 4:10 p.m., an adult male entered the Long Beach Police Department’s Public Safety Building and was identified by his attorney as the suspect wanted in the July 11, 2019, murder of Nancy Romero, a 46-year-old resident of Long Beach.
John Osborne, a 31-year-old resident of Long Beach, was taken into custody and booked for murder. He is being held on $2,000,000 bail at the Long Beach City Jail.
The investigation revealed suspect Osborne and victim Nancy Romero were involved in a dating relationship. Detectives believe the murder to be an isolated incident of domestic violence.
The case is expected to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office later in the week for filing consideration. The investigation remains ongoing.
