One man shot and killed, one wounded in two separate overnight shootings

On Saturday at 11:40 PM Officers were called to the area of West Willow St and Eucalyptus Ave regarding a shooting incident. LBPD officers arrived and found a male adult victim with gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The LBFD responded to the location and determined the victim deceased. 

The suspect is believed to be a male adult and he is still outstanding.

Homicide Detectives responded to the scene for the investigation. The motive is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing. 

A few hours later early Sunday at 1:20 AM LBPD officers responded to the 500 block of West Anaheim St to assist the LBFD.

Officers located a male adult victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. He was taken by LBFD to a local hospital and the injuries were found to be non-life threatening.

The victim told officers a male Hispanic adult shot him at the location. The suspect is still outstanding. 

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Detectives responded for the investigation that is ongoing.
