Jet Blue and Long Beach: The Perfect Match

Do you like to run? Do you like to bike? Either one is fine because JetBlue has you covered! This upcoming Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, JetBlue is hosting their annual Marathon/Half-Marathon in Long Beach. Yes, you read that right – a full marathon and a half-marathon option. The official race starts on Saturday and there are four registration options – marathon, half-marathon, Aquarium of the Pacific 5k, 20-mile bike tour and a 1-mile kid’s fun run. Even the little ones can be part of the fun. This year, JetBlue is including the VIP experience. The upgrade includes packet pick-up at the Expo, VIP parking on race day, pre-race amenities, and post-event perks.

JetBlue has been hosting the Long Beach Run for 35 years! Long Beach offers such a beautiful view of the oceanfront, known as both a diverse and inclusive city and offers delicious food options. It’s hardly surprising why Long Beach continues to host JetBlue in its annual JetBlue Run. The run can be described more as a festival rather than a run. A Health and Fitness Expo will also be taking place this weekend at the Long Beach Convention Center followed by a 10 Year Achievement Celebration. This celebration will be for all 10-year legacy runners! And, there’s more! Runners have the option to join challenges. One challenge, in particular, is the Beach Cities Challenge. The challenge consists of completing, in consecutive order, any combo of marathons or half marathons at the Surf City Marathon (Feb.), the SDCCU OC Marathon (May), and JetBlue Long Beach Marathon (Oct.). You can find more details on the official website below.

Long Beach has been full of fun activities for the family this past summer but the fun is not over as Fall approaches the city. Come and enjoy the beautiful weather, celebration, and exercise.
