Long Beach Firefighters Help Hospitalized Kids Trick-or-Treat at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach
Members of the Long Beach Fire Department will join patients at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach as they dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat throughout the hospital. Hospital staff also participate to make Halloween a memorable event for patients too sick to leave the hospital by dressing up and handing out prizes.
More than 20 firefighters will help Miller Children’s & Women’s patients into their costumes, pull them in wagons, push their wheelchairs and escort them through the hospital halls collecting treats. The costumed patients trick-or-treat in groups, with each child having at least one firefighter accompany them.
