Grown-ish star, Trevor Jackson, in Long Beach for a beach clean up
In it’s fourth year, ComplexCon has finally arrived here in Long Beach! The weekend long event held this year on 2-3 November, is known to have the biggest hip hop stars perform and speak on panels with a multitude of brands, food stands and interactive booths for spectators to enjoy. This year for the first time in ComplexCon history, Complex put on a series of workshops, panel talks and voluntary opportunities with celebrity guests during the week in the lead up to the main event this weekend.
As part of the Complex Community week, on Friday morning the Surfrider Foundation and Keep it Run Hundred split in teams for a beach clean up with special guest, Trevor Jackson. By the end of the clean up both teams were awarded a $5,000 check for their foundations. It was sure to be a success on both parts in creating awareness of ocean pollution and the little it takes that can go a long way to helping the environment. Watch the beach clean up and interviews below, and catch us at the Complex Con on Sunday as we trail through the booths, performances and for the first time ever view live podcasts with Joe La Puma and Jeezy to name a few.
