Two men shot during house gathering in Long Beach

On Monday at  8:05 p.m., LBPD officers responded to a residence in the 2900 block of E. 15th Street regarding a report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When officers arrived they located two adult male victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their upper torsos

The two victims were transported to local hospitals in stable condition by Long Beach Fire personnel.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a group of male and female victims were gathered in the back area of the residence when an unknown suspect fired shots towards the group from an alley located behind the residence, striking two of the victims.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction and is still outstanding. Motive for the shooting and suspect description is currently unknown

It is unknown if this is gang related at this time. The investigation is ongoing
