A Very Long Beach Thanksgiving
Gobble gobble! Thanksgiving is just a week away and for those of you without plans, Long Beach Local News has you covered. Reservations are required for these events so be sure to act fast.
Michael’s Before and After Thanksgiving on Nov. 27 and Nov. 29 is a three-course prix-fixe menu. Dinners are $50 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are available from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Read more at Michael’s Before and After Thanksgiving website.
Want to burn off some calories before that big Thanksgiving dinner? Long Beach’s 5k and 10k walk/run benefits Justin Rudd’s Community Action Team (CAT). The races start at 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the Granada Avenue Boat Launch Ramp at 1 Granada Ave. Please bring two canned goods, canned tuna, breakfast cereal, Cream of Wheat, mac n’ cheese, or peanut butter (a highly requested item at the food bank!) for the AIDS Food Store collection. The Queen Mary Royal Brunch is having a special Thanksgiving menu. Hours are from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and prices are $115 for adults with sparkling wine, $95 for adults without sparkling wine and $24 for children between the ages of 4 and 11. The Reef Restaurant is hosting a Champagne Buffet from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The menu features turkey, prime rib, crab legs, traditional trimmings, and a bloody mary bar. Adults are $64.95 and children are $26.95. Make your reservation today! Visit the Reef restaurant for more information.
Not only is the Aquarium of the Pacific open on Thanksgiving day, but they are also holding lunch from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with a traditional Thanksgiving buffet. Menu items include pineapple and honey roasted ham, spinach apple cheddar almost salad, and pumpkin bread pudding. Ticket prices vary for Aquarium members, find out more here.
Interested in spending your Thanksgiving on the water? Hornblower is offering a Thanksgiving Day dinner cruise from 4:30 p.m. to – 7:30 p.m. The three hours cruise includes a variety of drinks, a holiday buffet dinner, live music and gorgeous views of Long Beach. Information is available here.
Cafe Sevilla is hosting Thanksgiving with a Spanish twist. The 3-course prix fixe menu is offered from 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. with menu items like butternut squash soup and pumpkin pie with cinnamon ginger whipped cream. If you’re already itching to get into the Christmas Spirit, Queen Mary Christmas opens up on Nov. 29. There will be an ice rink, a Santa Meet-and-Greet, storytime with Mrs. Claus, both Gingerbread and Stocking decorating and more.
