Churrinos Makes a Sweet Addition to Downtown LB

Downtown Long Beach just got sweeter! Churrino Gourmet Dessert on the Promenade is an explosion of Latin flavor and a passion for hard work. Brazilian-born Nick Farkas moved to the U.S nine years ago.

“I grew up with amazing churros and I felt like there was nothing around like that, and I needed to bring this to the community and I added my own twist,” says Farkas about Churrinos concept.

He always dreamt of owning a dessert or coffee shop. After graduating from CSU Long Beach, he started to make his dream a reality. It took Farkas and co-founder, Kelvin nearly a year to perfect the menu but now in the last quarter of 2019, the duo is officially in business.

Nothing about Churrino is bland. From its decor to its desserts, the shop is bursting with bright color and flavor.

Let’s get to the tasty stuff: Churrino offers 3 different options (Churrolover, Churroaddict, and Churromaniac) and 3 flavors for the filling including arguably the best “Caramel Leche” in Long Beach, as well as Chocotella and Strawberry Jam.

Beyond the sweets, visitors can also treat themselves to fun Churrino swag, like mugs, pins, and sweatshirts. It’s a sweet dream!

“I couldn’t be happier and prouder to bring my Latin roots right here to Long Beach,” says Farkas.

Churrino’s grand opening is on December 7th from 12 to 10 pm or until the churros last!
