LB Lights Up For Christmas
Attendees joined Mayor Robert Garcia on Dec. 9 in lighting up the tallest Christmas tree in Long Beach for its 5th annual holiday tree ceremony that took place at the Terrace Theater Plaza located at 300 East Ocean Boulevard.
This free event began at 5 p.m. with live performances from choirs, dancers, and much more. It also included local food trucks, an opportunity to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, photo booths, face painting, complimentary holiday sweets and other fun activities that made it a great experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Leading up to the lighting of the Christmas tree which began shortly after 6 p.m. Mayor Robert Garcia took the stage along with the Visitors Bureau who joined in on the countdown. The switch was turned on and lit up the 50-foot Christmas tree with more than 35,000 colorful LED lights. Shortly after, spectacular fireworks show in a memorable way to end the night.
