Ring in the New Year in Long Beach

It’s coming to the end of the holiday season. Before we break out our New Year’s resolutions, let’s ring in the New Year with one of the many fabulous events in Long Beach.

Queen Mary’s New Year’s Eve: Past and Present party is a blast from the past. While you explore the historical ship, there will be live music, stilt-walkers, burlesque dancers and more. To wrap up the night, The Queen Mary will finish off the night with one of Southern California’s best firework displays. The event runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and guests must be 21 years old to attend. Tickets are on sale now with prices starting at $120 per person.

The Reef’s New Year’s Party promises a grand dinner buffet, a DJ, dancing, and a midnight toast. The buffet includes prime rib, crab legs, caviar, and a gourmet dessert display. This is a 21+ only event.

This year, you can celebrate a Las Vegas New Year’s without ever leaving the state. Gaslamp’s Vegas in Long Beach New Year’s brings a taste of Sin City to PCH with Vegas-style gambling tables, Vegas Showgirls, a cigar lounge with champagne and party favors provided. A Prix Fixe Dinner Menu will be available for an additional charge.

New Year’s Eve at Shoreline Village is a family-friendly event with a kid’s countdown at 9 p.m. and the midnight countdown for adults. There will be local live music, a DJ and views of two separate firework shows. This free event is bound to fill up Shoreline’s parking lot so they recommend to use an alternative mode of transportation besides driving.

New Year’s Eve Presented by Night Dive is the fourth annual New Year’s celebration at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Along with live bands and DJs, there will be a silent disco, photo booth, a Friends-viewing party in the Ocean Theatre and, of course, a chance to visit your favorite animal friends.

If you’re interested in spending your New Year’s on the water, Long Beach Fireworks NYE 2020 Yacht Party is for you. There are three decks filled with entertainment on the Pier Pressure cruise – a 350 person Catalina King Yacht that’s been named Southern California’s Biggest and Best Yacht Party for the last six years.

To start off a new decade, parties are throwing it back about 100 years for a Roaring 20’s celebration. For New Year’s at L’Opera, tickets include appetizers, a drink ticket, champagne toast, a live band and more! Roaring 20’s New Year’s Party at George’s Greek Cafe includes a four-course meal and a performance by Knyght Ryder. New Year’s Eve at the Waterfront will ring in the New Year at East Coast time and Chianina’s Roaring ’20s NYE Party rounds out the celebrations. Gatsby attire is requested for all events.

With just a few of those above-mentioned celebrations, whatever your plans we’re sure you’ll be waltzing into the New Decade in style. Long Beach Local News wishes everyone a very Happy New Year!
