Long Beach Transit Ambassadors interact & ensure passenger safety
Long Beach Transit Ambassador Program has uniformed security officers with specializedpublic transit training, who will ride LBT’s system to provide on-bus security support andcustomer service.
“The presence of the Transit Ambassadors onboard LBT’s buses will aid in enhancing thecustomer experience as well as improving safety and service quality,” said LBT Chief ExecutiveOfficer Kenneth McDonald. “These Transit Ambassadors will be visible to our customers,available to assist and help mitigate problems if they occur.”Transit Ambassadors are state-registered security officers under contract with Allied UniversalSecurity Services.
Long Beach Transit serves 26 million annual boarding customers in Long Beach, Lakewood andSignal Hill—as well as portions of Artesia, Bellflower, Carson, Cerritos, Compton, HawaiianGardens, Los Alamitos, Norwalk, and Paramount and Seal Beach.
