Long Beach Police Pursuit with Possible Murder Suspect with a Gun
On Monday at 2:15pm, LBPD detectives were searching for a murder suspect in the area of 6th street and Cerritos. Detectives observed an adult male suspect as he exited a building and entered a vehicle.
Detectives initiated a traffic stop when the suspect failed to yield, resulting in a short pursuit. Within a minute of the pursuit being initiated, the suspect collided with a parked unoccupied vehicle, continued driving, and then collided with a second parked, unoccupied vehicle, coming to a stop according to Brandon Fahey Long Beach Police PIO.
The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot to a nearby park. Officers observed the suspect carrying a gun as he fled. LBPD officers quickly located and arrested the suspect and recovered a gun.
