Outdoor events in June to keep LB busy
It’s almost summer-time and Long Beach has some great outdoor events to keep you busy.
The first Surfrider Foundation Beach Clean-up of the year is on June 5th. Bring your own reusable bags and gloves to help keep one of Long Beach’s gorgeous beaches clean! The clean-up starts at 10 a.m. at the Belmont Pier area of the beach.
Trying to figure out how to celebrate your dad this month? Ballast Point has you covered on June 6. DIY Father’s Day Beer Mugs event tickets are $35 each and each ticket includes admission, a 16 oz. Pilsner glass, decorating materials and choice of one beer (if you’re of legal drinking age, of course). Ballast Point is 110 North Marina Drive and the event runs from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Justin Rudd 30-Minute Beach Cleanup will be held on June 19. Bring your pooch to Rosie’s Dog Beach to help the environment as part of a monthly event. Rosie’s Dog Beach is located at 1 Granada Avenue. There are two start times: 9:30 a.m. and 10 a..m Register at www.JustinRudd.com/cleanup
The Resort, Roller Coaster and Art Village of Long Beach Tour will take you from Harvey Milk Park to the Pike to learn more about Long Beach’s art and history. The tour is on Sat, June 19 from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. The starting point is at 185 East 3rd St.
June 19 is a busy one! You can also check out the Shoreline Park and Village Tour from 4:30 p.m. – 7 pm at 99 Aquarium Way.
Yoga on the Bluff is located on the corner of Ocean Blvd and Junipero on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Classes are daily at 11 a.m. There are also seasonal sessions that start at 6 p.m. that run Monday through Friday.
