Two Murdered in Long Beach Shooting
On Friday, at 12:17 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of East Anaheim Street, which later resulted in the death of two male adults.
Upon arrival, officers located two male adult victims in a parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Officers immediately began performing life-saving measures until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to render aid. The victims were transported by Long Beach Fire to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
One of the victims has been identified as a 29-year-old male Long Beach resident. His identity is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin. The additional victim has not been identified.
At this time in the investigation, the circumstances regarding the shooting, motive, and suspect information are not known. The incident remains under investigation by Homicide Detectives.
