3rd Alarm Apartment Fire in North Long Beach

On Thursday at 1:37 pm Long Beach Fire responded to reports of an apartment fire located on the 2800 block of Artesia Blvd near Paramount.

When Firefighters arrived the found an apartment unit fully involved with fire. A 2nd alarm was immediately issued and more firefighters were requested. There have been multiple partial roof collapses. As of this update, no injuries have been reported.

A 3rd alarm was requested and multiple resources are currently assigned to the incident.

Long Beach Fire is also in the process of requesting one Strike Team (5 Engine companies and Strike Team Leader) and one Truck Company from outside of our City to backfill our fire stations.

Possibly 40 units in the apartment structure were involved with fire.
