Elderly Man Drowns at El Dorado Park

LONG BEACH, CA – On May 30, the Long Beach Fire Department received a call from two witnesses for a possible drowning victim at El Dorado Park after they saw an individual go into the water and not resurface.

Fire Marine Safety divers entered the water and searched the area where the individual was last seen. The Long Beach Police Department was on the scene and assisted with traffic control.

The missing person was located and brought back to shore. Unfortunately, the patient, a male who was in his 80’s, was determined “deceased” by Fire Department paramedics at 6:53 PM.

The scene was released back to LBPD for further investigation into the incident.
