Employee fatally shot at Long Beach gas station

Long Beach Police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a Valero gas station employee Tuesday night.

LBD officers responded to a shooting call just before 10pm at 6900 block of Atlantic Avenue and found a man who had been shot in the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department. 

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police have not officially identified the man, but witnesses identified him as an employee of a Valero gas station.

A motive for the shooting is also unknown.
