LBPD Homicide detectives investigating a murder at hotel
Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of an adult male.
On Thursday, July 18th at approximately 3:33 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 4100 block of Willow Street. Upon arrival at a hotel room, they discovered an adult male victim who had been shot in the upper body. Officers administered medical aid until relieved by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel, who transported the victim to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide detectives arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner.
