Burglary Suspect Evades Police at Long Beach Millikan High
Long Beach, CA — Early this morning, at approximately 2:44 a.m., Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers responded to a call from Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) school safety personnel regarding a possible burglary suspect on the Millikan High School campus. During the incident, a school safety officer discharged their service weapon, though no injuries have been reported.
Upon arrival, LBPD activated their SWAT team, which conducted a thorough search of the campus. Despite the extensive effort, the suspect was not located and remains at large.

As a precautionary measure, LBPD and LBUSD announced an increased law enforcement presence on and around the school campus throughout the day to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities working to identify and apprehend the suspect.
