Boat Fire Near Queen Mary in Long Beach Sends 4 to Hospital
Four people were hospitalized after a boat caught fire near the Queen Mary in Long Beach on Friday evening.
The Long Beach Fire Department reported that firefighters responded around 7:10 p.m. to a 30-foot boat fully engulfed in flames along the 700 block of Queensway Drive, between Hotel Maya and the Queen Mary.

Video footage captured thick black smoke rising from the boat, which was located about 100 feet from the shore.
Seven people were initially found floating nearby in a dinghy. Four of them were transported to a hospital, though their conditions remain unknown.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze by 8:15 p.m., after which the boat was towed to Long Beach Fire Station 21 for further investigation.
