Two Teenage Girls Injured in Long Beach Parking Lot Shooting

Two teenage girls were wounded in a shooting at a parking lot near a Long Beach strip mall, authorities reported Monday.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident took place around 9:17 p.m. Sunday near Anaheim Street and Elm Avenue. Preliminary findings suggest that one or more suspects fired into a group of people, striking the two girls.

Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, and they transported themselves to a hospital for treatment, police said.
