A man was hospitalized and another arrested following an early morning stabbing in Long Beach.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of Walnut Avenue at approximately 4:08 a.m. on July 24 after receiving reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel treated the victim before transporting him to a local hospital.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and suspect knew each other.
Police identified the suspect as Martin Moya, 46, of Long Beach. He was arrested and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon (non-firearm) and for violating parole. Authorities said Moya is being held on no bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
