Preliminary information indicates three people were shot Sunday night near Pacific Coast Highway and Pine Avenue.
Just before 11:30 p.m. on August 9, Long Beach police and firefighters responded to reports of a shooting near the 100 block of East Pacific Coast Highway and the 1700 block of Locust Avenue.
According to witness information from the scene, three victims were found at two nearby locations.
A male victim was reportedly found unconscious but breathing near Pacific Coast Highway and Locust. An adult female was reportedly conscious and breathing after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.
A third victim, located in the 1700 block of Locust Avenue, reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body and was conscious and breathing.
Firefighters treated the victims while officers secured the area and began investigating. No suspect description was available in the initial information.
